We are delighted to sponsor Macmillan Cancer Support on an ongoing basis, holding coffee mornings throughout each of our offices in order to raise much needed funding to help support the ongoing work which Macmillan do. In 2017, we hosted coffee mornings in our Ruthin, Denbigh and St Asaph offices, which raised a whopping £725 toward this very worthwhile cause.

When you think of Macmillan, you might primarily think of their team of talented nurses, which provide physical and emotional support to cancer sufferers throughout the most trying of times. The work they do is absolutely incredible, but it doesn’t end there.

Macmillan nurses provide a range of support in many other ways too – from the hidden strains of cancer and cancer treatment by providing financial support to those in need, to long-term emotional support for cancer sufferers and families, Macmillan nurses are a supportive, positive influence which are there every step of the way. Macmillan’s mission is to ensure that no-one faces cancer alone, and this mission is one that is truly worthwhile.

Cancer affects most of us, either directly or indirectly, and this charity hopes to alleviate the effects of it in a variety of ways.

Macmillan also does a lot of work behind the scenes, as well. For instance, Macmillan invest a substantial portion of their funding to the future – and train nurses to keep up their high standards of care. A large amount of their funding comes from events like the Coffee Morning, and we were delighted to have played our part in making Macmillan’s mission a little closer to reach.

We would like to convey our sincere thanks to the local businesses in the community that allowed us to raise quite so much money for Macmillan. Our raffles proved very popular at the Coffee Mornings – and it simply wouldn’t have been so without their very generous donations.

Our team at our Denbigh offices would like to thank the local businesses in the town which made this possible. These businesses are: Reebee’s Flowers, Costellos Floral Design, Travelsport, Siop Clwyd, Snow in Summer, Pure, Denbigh Cutters, Nails Deluxe, Gifts Galore, The Denbigh Chocolate Shop, Bevans, Baroque, Gordells, and The Glass Onion Cafe.

Our Ruthin Team would like to thank the following businesses for their support: On the Hill, Tesco, The Post Office, Siop Nain, John Jones Butchers, and Wetherspoons.

Our St Asaph offices would also like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations for the St Asaph Raffle – Ruby Tuesday’s, City Glamour, Cathedral Frames, Jacob’s Ladder, Scissor Trix, Daniel Jones Butchers, Premier, The Oriel House Hotel, and City Newsagents.
